SVG Coast Guard Service Memorable Events
- 2nd December 1980 – Establishment of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard Service.
- 1st January 1981 – Initial eight (8) Coast Guard recruits left St. Vincent and the Grenadines for training in England.
- 26th October 1990 – Acceptance and Commissioned Ceremony of the Coast Guard Base, Calliaqua.
- 6th March 1981 – Acceptance Ceremony for the construction of Coast Guard vessel George Mc Intosh
- .20th – 21st November 1981 - George Mc Intosh made it maiden voyage from Barbados to St. Vincent
- .21st November 1981 – “SVG 05” Mc Intosh Commissioned Ceremony.
- 19th January 1982 – “SVG 05” George Mc Intosh conducted it first successful Search and Rescue operation when she rescued MV Simone.
- 1st April 1984 – Coast Guard personnel were granted permission to wear their current duty rig (Coast Guard Blues).
- 12th June 1987 – Coast Guard vessel Captain Mulzac arrived in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
- 13th June 1987 – Acceptance and Commissioned Ceremony of Coast Guard Flag Ship “SVG 01” Captain Mulzac.
- 6th July 1987 – “SVG 01” Captain Mulzac conducted it first successful Search and Rescue operation when she rescued MV Alva.
- 1st August 1994 – Lieutenant Commander David Robin, first Vincentian to command the Coast Guard Service.
- 3rd July 2006 – AB Ceilia Charles, first Coast Guard female officer to be promoted. She was promoted to Petty Officer.
- 6th March 2010 – Able Seaman Darrell Thomas, first Coast Guard officer to die on active duty.
- 24th June 2014 – Acceptance and Commissioned Ceremony of the Coast Guard Sub-Base, Canouan.
- 15th May 2016 - Sub lieutenant (Ag), longest serving Coast Guard Officer retired from the Coast Guard Service after thirty two years of service.
