St. Vincent Coast Guard Rank Structure

The uniform and the rank structure of the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard Service was that similar to the traditional uniform and rank structure worn by the members of its mother organization the Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force. On the 1st April 1984, the members of the Coast Guard Service were granted the right to wear the present blue uniform seen worn by Coast Guard personnel today, and the Rank Structure was also changed on that day to replace the traditional Police Rank Structure with the Naval System similar to that used by the Royal Navy, but equivalent to the ranks of the RSVGPF with the highest rank being that of Commander/ Assistant Commissioner of Police.
