St. Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard Service Female History
The female who made history in the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard Service was Able Bodied Seaman Evelyn Stowe who was transferred to the Coast Guard Service from the Police Force in 1986.
Her accommodation at the time was on the SVG 05 George Mc Intosh which was the accommodation for all Coast Guard personnel.
Following AB Stowe there have been a number of females in the Coast Guard service, presently their strength stands at the Coast Guard stands at fourteen (14) and they are specialized in various fields in the Coast Guard.
In the year 2006 the first females to be promoted in the Guard were AB Ceilia Charles who was promoted to Petty Officer, AB Lisa Browne who was promoted to Leading Seaman. AB Juanna Holder promoted to Petty Office and AB Andine Barker promoted to Leading Seamen in October of 2015. LS Melita Browne promoted to Petty Officer and AB Diamond promoted to Leading Seaman in November of 2016.
In 2007 AB Jihan Lampkin entered the Miss SVG Pageant; AB Lekeysha Glynn placed 2nd Runner up in 2008 and AB Joeverne Webb entered in 2010.
