Wendell Nelson, 42 years Contractor of Redemption Sharpes was arrested and charged with the offence of Theft on 19.11.2021.
Investigations carried out by the police revealed that the Accused allegedly stole $2500.00ECC in cash from a Police Officer. The incident occurred at Kingstown between 26.10.21 and 18.11.2021.
The Accused appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on 22.11.2021 to answer the charge and plead guilty. He was ordered to compensate the V/C in the sum of $2500.00 by 15.12.2021 or spend 3 months at Her Majesty’s Prison. He was further bonded for one (1) year in the sum of $2000.00. In default, he will pay $2000.00 forthwith or 6 months in prison.
