Police have arrested and charged Ezekiel John, 30 years old Farmer of Redemption Sharpes with the offence of Handling Stolen Goods on 20.11.2021.
According to investigations, the accused man allegedly had in his possession twenty pounds (20lbs) of ginger; reasonably suspected of being stolen or unlawfully obtained. The incident occurred at Redemption Sharpes on 19.11.2021.
On the 22.11.2021, the Accused appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court to answer the charge and plead not guilty. He was granted bail in the sum of $500.00 with one (1) surety. The matter was adjourned to 16.02.2022 for trial.
